Honda EV-neo has been available in Japan since 2010.
Next month Honda will unveil its little EV-neo scooter in Barcelona. Considering that 30 percent of all vehicles from Barcelona are motorcycles this will be a good opportunity to show a zero carbon emission choice.
Being under a demonstration programme in conjunction with Barcelona City Council, this way Honda will provide 18 pieces of EV-neo yearly. Montesa Honda, Barcelona City Council and Spain’s Automobile Club will monitoring the activities of the EV-neo usage in the city.
President of Montesa Honda, Mr. Yukitoshi Fujisaka declared that: “Testing the EV-neo in European conditions is an important step as we develop our EV activities.” And he added “We are delighted to bring Honda’s EV technology to Europe for the first time,”that
Honda EV-neo scooter comes equipped with a Toshiba SciB lithium-ion battery pack the same one used by Mitsubishi for its i-MiEV model. The battery pack covers a range of 18 miles on a speed of 30 miles per hour. A fully charge takes 3.5 hour but there is a fast charger option that reduce the time to 30 minutes.
The base price for the Honda EV-neo is expected to be 4,000 Euros.
