Nissan will launch its future electric van

Nissan-e-NV200-electric-vanAfter really positive results from trials with its prototype electric van, Nissan intend to reach the electric vehicle market.

It has completed a trial with British Gas on the prototype of its e-NV200 electric van. The trial involved tests of electric van with a full load more than 1,200 miles,

The general manager of the British Gas, Colin Marriott said the company will switch 10 per cent of its 14,000 commercial fleet to electric over the next three years. “With fuel prices continuing to rise, one of the biggest benefits of e-NV200 is the breakthrough in long term running cost savings,” he added.

Nissan gets a positive feedback, their spokeswomen confirmed. The electric van will be suitable for routes around towns. Not a word about price yet until the trials are completed and the electric van will perform well in real world conditions.

They only let us know the launch will debut late next year and the range will be busted below 109 miles.
